Portions of northern New England see season's first snowfall
Residents in quite a while of northern New England arose Sunday to the principal significant snowfall of the period.
On account of a virus front, downpour transformed into snow Saturday evening over an enormous area that extended from center Vermont across New Hampshire and into western Maine, as per the National Weather Service.
Portions of Vermont saw 4 inches (10 centimeters) of snow and there were a few reports of snowfall in the 3-inch (8-centimer) range in New Hampshire, said meteorologist Margaret Curtis.
New Hampshire's Mount Washington recorded 5 inches (12 centimeters) of snowfall over a 24-hour term.
The appearance of colder climate implies it's the ideal opportunity for New Englanders to get leaves raked and complete yardwork before the ground freezes, Curtis. "It's that season," she said.
